Join us for some Classic Canadian Rockies Climbs!

The Canadian Rockies offer a huge variety of high quality, uber classic routes. From classic snow & ice routes like the N-Face Bypass on Athabasca to mixed snow & rock routes like Mt. Fay to amazing sun-soaked rock routes like Eisenhower Tower or Mt. Louis the Rockies has it all! We've been climbing new and classic routes in the Rockies for decades and just love to go back every year for a little more!

EEORSo join BlackSheep this summer and tag some classic summits, get a taste of alpine rock climbing or for another shot at that bucket list climb. Stand on the summit of  and take in the surrounding spires and tumbling glaciers. Tiptoe around the gendarme on the classic Kain route up Bugaboo Spire. Cruise up beautiful granite cracks. Challenge yourself with exhilarating exposure as you cross exposed rock ridges.

For this trip we'll work together to select a few great peaks that interest you and then head out to start ticking them off! It's generally run as a 4 or 7 day package with a max of 2 climbers per guide. Of course we can always customize things!

Alpine & Rock Climbing:

The Canadian Rockies have a huge variety of rock & alpine climbing as well as mountaineering. Some of the more popular routes include:

  • Eisenhower Tower: 5.5, 8 pitches, 8-10hrs
  • HaLing, NE Face: 5.6, 12 pitches, 7-8hrs
  • Achilles Spire: 5.8, 13 pitches, 8-10hrs
  • Mt. Fay: West Ridge, 5.3, Snow & Ice to 40 degrees, 2 days
  • Mt. Louis: Kain Route, 5.7 13 pitches, 10-12hrs
  • Mt. Louis: Homage to the Spider, 5.10a, 7 pitches, 10-12hrs
  • Mt. Temple, East Ridge: 5.7, 14-20hrs
  • Athabasca, Silverhorn: Ice to 45 degrees, 10-12hrs
  • Edith Caval, E Ridge: 5.5, Snow to 40 degrees, 10-12 hrs

Waiver & Risk Management:

As you know, outdoor activities involve numerous hazards including, but not limited to, avalanches, crevasses, rockfall, slips and falls, equipment failure, poor weather, etc. And while we do our best to anticipate and mitigate these hazards we cannot completely eliminate them. So, as with anything fun, you will be required to sign our Participant Release to take part in one of our courses or trips.
