I've had the pleasure of doing several trips over the past few years with the team ant Black sheep.  The curated trips have always been above expectations. As someone who has spent a great portion of my life in the mountains, climbing, skiing, hiking etc. it's always a learning experience on how pro's do thing safely and efficiently. Perfect experience, couldn't recommend highly enough. Out of all the guiding companies I contacted in Squamish they were by far the most responsive, positive & approachable. Monte offered numerous options for my trip (compared to the other companies that have me no choice where I climbed), took my experience into account & really took thr time to create my ideal day in the mountains. On the day I was guided by Christian who, like Monte, was super friendly, knowledgeable and totally flexible with how we approached the day. Massive recommendation to take your AST Level 1+ with Monty and the BlackSheep team. The course is equivalent to the AIARE 1 and by choosing the "1+ option" we had two days in the backcountry evaluating terrain and running through scenarios. I feel much more knowledgeable coming out of this course and confident in my ability to make the right choices in the backcountry and navigate any avalanche events that may occur. Before the two field days, we completed an online video based course that we reviewed together as a group. Can't recommend BlackSheep Adventures enough!

Cam was a fantastic guide! He had a wealth of knowledge about avalanches, hazards as well as snowpack and was always ready with a detailed answer to any questions we had. He was professional and taught us techniques during our Into-to-Splitboarding. Monte, as well as the rest of the Black Sheep personal we dealt with were professional and helpful, and made a great recommendation on where to rent split boards. We will definitely look to book with them our next time out.
