Thanks for booking with us!
We look forward to getting out in the backcountry with you. In the meantime we have a bit of homework for you so we can hit the ground running on the field day.
THE PROCESS
Step 1: The Waiver
Outdoor activities involve numerous hazards including, but not limited to, avalanches, slips and falls, equipment failure, poor weather, etc. And while we do our best to anticipate and mitigate these hazards we cannot completely eliminate them. So, as with anything fun, you will be required to sign BlackSheep’s Participant Release to take part in the trip. You will also have to sign Callaghan Country’s waiver as well. So, hit the BlackSheep Waiver link below and review, sign and submit the waiver. Once done come back here and click on the Callaghan Waiver link and read over the pdf file of their waiver. You will need to sign the Callaghan waiver at the base on the first day of the trip. Once you’ve filled out the BlackSheep waiver and read over the Callaghan waiver return here to complete the rest of the steps.
Step 2: Gear List
Be sure to read over the gear list in advance of the trip so that you have time to grab anything you might need. We have Avy Kits for sale at a great price and rentals if you’re not ready to buy. If you requested one when you booked into the trip your guide will bring it to the meeting point for you. If you would like to add one to your order just email us at booking@blacksheepadventure.ca
Step 3: Room Assignments
The base price for the trip includes a double occupancy Nook room (queen or twin). Upgraded rooms are available at an additional cost depending on the room and typically requested at checkout but not confirmed until you receive an email from us. So if you have requested an upgrade we will be in touch before the final payment to finalize your room assignment. If you did not request a room upgrade but would like to now just send us an email and we will add you to the list (booking@blacksheepadventure.ca). Please note that there are a limited number of upgraded rooms and so we assign them on a first-come basis.
Step 4: Preparing for the First Day
- Make sure you have a bag lunch packed as well as some water or tea, lunch on the first day is not provided. We will likely snack on the snowcat during the ride into the lodge so that we’re ready for some companion rescue training upon arrival.
- Dress in your ski gear and have your touring pack ready to go.
