We look forward to getting out in the backcountry with you. In the meantime we have a bit of homework for you so we can hit the ground running on the field day.

THE PROCESS

Step 1: The Waiver

Outdoor activities involve numerous hazards including, but not limited to, avalanches, slips and falls, equipment failure, poor weather, etc. And while we do our best to anticipate and mitigate these hazards we cannot completely eliminate them. So, as with anything fun, you will be required to sign our Participant Release to take part in the course. So, hit the link below and review, sign and submit the waiver. Once done come back here to complete the rest of the steps.

Step 2: Gear List

Be sure to read over the gear list in advance of the trip so that you have time to grab anything you might need. We have Avy Kits for sale at a great price and rentals if you’re not ready to buy. If you requested one when you enrolled in the course your instructor will bring it to the meeting point for you. Step 3: Meal Prep

We will taking care of everyone’s breakfasts and dinners so be sure to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions by sending an email to booking@blacksheepadventure.ca at least 45 days before the trip. The rest of the food, snacks and lunches, you will need to organize yourself as they are not included. If you want some ideas, we typically grab a sandwich at the cafe in the morning. Add that to a few bars and that first day is covered. After that, pizza is an easy lunch as is cheese, peperoni and crackers. If you run into any issues just let us know.
