Our Intro to Outdoor Rock Climbing course is a 1-day clinic designed to give you the skills needed to get outside climbing in a safe manner. Our professional, ACMG Certified, guides have years of experience climbing and instructing and are up-to-date with the latest in Best Practices, equipment and techniques.
This Intro to Outdoor Rock Climbing is ideal for new or newish climbers and will cover a variety of topics including:
- Route Selection
- Knots & Hitches
- Top-Rope Anchor Construction
- Belay Systems & Communication
- Climbing Techniques
- Rope Management
- Guide Book Interpretation
All the skills necessary to prepare you for a lifetime of climbing outdoors! Of course we will also spend a bunch of time climbing.
Waiver & Risk Management:
As you know, outdoor activities involve numerous hazards including, but not limited to, avalanches, crevasses, rockfall, slips and falls, equipment failure, poor weather, etc. And while we do our best to anticipate and mitigate these hazards we cannot completely eliminate them. So, as with anything fun, you will be required to sign our Participant Release to take part in one of our courses or trips.

- Payments made by credit card are subject to a 2.5% credit card fee

- 8:30am: Meet your instructor & complete paperwork
- 9:00am: Head to a local climbing area
- 4:00pm: Back at the parking lot for a debrief
